Ipsy April glam bag 2014

April showers bring May flowers except here in lovely Michigan. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend and I even wore capris to work but then the following day it snowed and left a nice little blanket on the ground. Very disappointing needless to say. But.............. then I got my awesome Ipsy glam bag!!!! I was really looking forward to this one because I excited to get to try some of the products that I was to receive this month.

The theme for this months bag was BEAUTY ROCKS. The glam bag was absolutely stunning....
I really like that this glam bag is more square unlike the usual rectangle shape the other glam bags have been.

Unlike the lipstick debacle when only some Ipsters got an Urban Decay Revolution lipstick, ever Ipster got one of these beauties. The Urban Decay 24/7 Black Velvet eye pencil. It glides on so smoothly and looks stunning although I am unsure if it's the cause of the black flakes that I have noticed or if it's from my mascara so I will have to pay close attention next time I apply it.
This is Elizabeth Mott pop! goes the shadow in Champagne. I previously received an mascara by Elizabeth Mott in a previous glam bag and I fell in love so I was really looking forward to trying another product from Elizabeth Mott. The color is so pretty and exactly along my color line as far as what I generally wear.
Woot Woot look who finally got a Cailyn product. Yep! This girl. This one is Apple Pink, it goes on kind of dry and I was disappointed at first but I've discovered it looks great when I add a clear lip gloss over it.
This is the Demeter roll on perfume in Jasmine. It is such a gorgeous scent, it's light and airy and the little bottle fits nicely in my purse for an occasional rub on. I use this behind my ears, back of my neck and on my pulse points.
This is Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion. I was excited to get this because this happens to have been 2012's Allure Best of Beauty Award Winner as best scrub. It's gentle and provides a good exfoliate. I also didn't find this harsh on my sensitive skin which was great news.

  1. I just found your blog on MakeupTalk and I really like it so far! I'm not subscribed to Ipsy anymore, but the April bags made me wish I was :)

    1. Yes the April bag was very nice. I am a little disappointed with May's bag though.
