Baked burrito Recipe

Mmmm I couldn't tell you enough how much I love a good baked burrito and I just so happened to stumble upon one on Pinterest that really pretty much had me drooling over the picture. I decided to give the recipe a try and OMG it was soooooooo delicious. Sorry in advance for my Sideways pictures, I didn't know how to turn them around.

First you have to brown your ground meat, drain and add taco seasoning like you would for tacos

Then you add a few tablespoons of the meat on each tortilla, sprinkle with cheese and roll those bad boys up. Spread 1/3 of the sauce mixture on the bottom of a 9x13 in baking pan before you place your burritos seam side down in the pan.

After you place all the burritos in the pan spread the remaining sauce mixture on top of the burritos then top with the rest of the cheese.

Oh look at the cheesy deliciousness.................

Baked Burrito Recipe
Serves 8
Total time: 30+

  • Ingredients:
  • • 1 lb ground beef
  • • 1 pkt Taco Seasoning
  • • Monterey Cheese, 8 oz – grated or shredded
  • • 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • • 1/2 cup Sour Cream
  • • 4oz (half a jar) Taco Sauce, Mild
  • • 10 Tortillas

Instructions
  1. Brown ground beef and add taco seasoning and cook according to package directions.
  2. Mix together the can of soup, sour cream and taco sauce.
  3. Spoon and smooth 1/3 of the soup mixture into a 9x13 baking dish.
  4. Divide meat mixture evenly between the tortillas so they are even.  Just go with about 2-3 tablespoons per tortilla.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top of meat in shell (save about 1/2 – 3/4 cup cheese.)
  6. Roll/Fold tortillas.
  7. Place into pan seam side down (or they will unroll and things will get messy.. no fun)
  8. Spread rest of soup mixture onto the shells and top with the rest of the cheese
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
