Organizing and DIY project

So I recently got myself an actual desk, I got a really good deal on it too and I have been trying to organize my things using the cabinets and shelves but not having much luck findings things I want. I did buy a cute photo box at Michaels for $2 to store some of my paper in but it's just not enough. In the mean time though I did work on a couple projects that really helped to de-clutter some of my stuff.

First project I tackled was creating a receipt organizer so it wasn't all just sitting in a box. I went to Office Depot and found myself a small plain, clear expandable file which also included monthly tabs to put in there. It is a 12 pocket file so it was perfect! I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a cute little file folder so I just dressed up the clear one.

So here it is and you can see the monthly tabs.

September IPSY glam bag Classic Beauty *UPDATED*

My glam bag arrived this afternoon!! I was really excited to see that pretty pink envelope sitting on the porch.

DIY candle holder

So I came across this candle holder project on Pinterest and I just had to give it a try.

I was thankfully able to find the exact same candlestick and holder she used so that was a win win for me. There was another glass holder that I was thinking about getting but I may just go pick that one up at a later date seeing as they always have these in stock at Dollar Tree.

BTW I did try the gorilla glue and it would have worked if the candlestick was even but since it wasn't, there was gaps between the glass and I didn't feel comfortable leaving it at that so I used some hot glue and it came out wonderfully.

Family Home Management Binder

I don't know how I came across this on pinterest but I did and I invested a lot of time into doing it. I am now at the point where I think I am done and don't know if there is anything else that I want to change at the moment so I figured I would now share my project. I would like to start off by saying that I am a little OCD and everything has to have it's place which is why I started this binder in the first place. I use to have this plastic filing storage container that I loathed so I had been searching for an alternative.

I fell in love with this binder, it's from the Martha Stewart collection at Staples.

Hoof foot polish

I know I have been MIA for a little bit. I have had a lot going on with starting school, my kids starting school and work but during this time I have had a chance to test out some new products so YAY!!! lol

So I recently made a trip into Bed Bath and Beyond to purchase a wedding shower gift and having not been in that store for what appears to be a really long time even though it has always been one of my favorites. I decided to walk around the whole store because so much has changed. They sell all kinds of new stuff like shampoo, cosmetics and lots of snacks. I happen to notice a section of trial size products and I found a lot of neat stuff to test out. One of the products I just had to pick up was some foot polish.
