The Vow Voxbox

Ok so I was lucky enough to have been chosen to get a voxbox of goodies complementary of Influenster. If you don't know what Influenster is, it's a website where you share your review for products you have tried in hopes of qualifying for a voxbox to sample a brands product or several brands products. However now with the new point system your chances of getting selected for a survey/voxbox depends on how active you are on social media as well as whether you fit the demographics (which I think is a joke). Also the products in the boxes are usually full size products but I noticed some things as sample sized as well and some products you will need to go to the store to purchase yourself especially if it's a refrigerated food item.

This is the little postcard that comes inside the box that basically welcomes you to the program.
This is the backside of the postcard that lists the items in the box as well as how much they retail for which is good to know.

Here is a picture of all my goodies!!!

Ipsy May glam bag 2014

Sorry for the delay in this post. I have been really busy with very little "free" time. This month's theme was called Fresh Picks, this bag was more pampering rather make-up which was disappointing. But here is my review......

The first item I received was this bottle of Eau thermale Avene spring water. You are suppose to spray your face with it to freshen up, wake up, set make-up or whatever. I did give this a try but I was not impressed with the results. Or I should say that I didn't notice any changes after using it. You can pretty much put water in a spray bottle and squirt your face for the same effect. Maybe I'm not using it right or something but this is not something that really wowed me and I wouldn't purchase this product in the future.

Ipsy April glam bag 2014

April showers bring May flowers except here in lovely Michigan. We enjoyed a beautiful weekend and I even wore capris to work but then the following day it snowed and left a nice little blanket on the ground. Very disappointing needless to say. But.............. then I got my awesome Ipsy glam bag!!!! I was really looking forward to this one because I excited to get to try some of the products that I was to receive this month.

The theme for this months bag was BEAUTY ROCKS. The glam bag was absolutely stunning....
I really like that this glam bag is more square unlike the usual rectangle shape the other glam bags have been.

Ipsy March Glam Bag 2014

I realize I am really behind on my posting whoops but here is my March Ipsy Glam Bag for 2014. If you are unsure what Ipsy is "Each month, subscribers will receive a beautiful Glam Bag with deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Members can watch and play along with the stylists with the same products that they are using. All for only $10 a month. "

This months theme was "Destination Beauty" although I would have loved a St. Patricks Day themed bag but this one was pretty neat.

Influenster Rose Voxbox prizes

So whenever you are selected for a voxbox, each brand has certain challenges you must complete in order for you to earn the badge and one of the incentives is winning a top brand badge prize. When I did the Rose voxvox I made sure I completed all of the challenges for all of the brands for a chance to win a prize from each brand but two of the brands were guaranteed prized if you just completed all of the challenges. I earned the badge prize from Kiss and Rimmel and both of the prizes were very generous and awesome.

Here are my guaranteed prizes!!

If you are interested in winning great prizes like these I must inform you that it does take time and work. You can currently sign up on the Influenster website without waiting for an invite but choose your 5 badges wisely and do the surveys and leave reviews for products you have tried. Don't get discouraged if you are not selected to try a voxbox because your chance will come, just stay active on the site and answer questions or leave reviews, join the twitter parties and so on.

My makeup Vanity

So I recently splurged on a makeup vanity that I saw online at Target. I had been searching everywhere online for a vanity and either couldn't find one that I liked or couldn't find one in my price range. Some of the vanities that I liked were:

These vanities although gorgeous are much more then I could afford. All three of these vanities are from Pottery Barn Teen and ridiculously overpriced . But that storage space each of these vanities offer are to die for that's for sure.

Well anyway I settled for a much cheaper and smaller vanity that was more ideal to my current available space, my vanity happens to share a room with my over sized office desk that I rarely use now that I usually sit on the couch with my laptop.
